If Nigel’s “argument” is that ballroom dancers have a hard time performing solos, then the same consideration should have been made for the tappers, which, while their actual dancing solo is not the issue, the facts are that they can’t comparitively be all that interesting in a dance for your life situation. Accordingly, the sent them home 1, 2, 3.

It frustrates me that it’s supposed to be us voting, but the judges still have so much control over the actual outcome.

I ended up picking Victor bc I guess I wasn’t ready for Kevin to leave and the judges on occasion are known to not split up couples. Needless to say, I was quite bummed when I got a text (while at the SYTYCD tour!) from a friend giving me the results. I was happy to learn that I got my bonus pt for Channing.

K8, I agree, Channing didn’t deserve to leave. But the judges love Karen. Or maybe I should say, Nigel loves Karen.

I thought it was silly showing the judges deliberating over that yellow pad at the break. Honestly, was there anything Kevin could have done to keep him in the comp? No. I’d say the opposite for Karen. In fact, Nigel prefaced their decision for the women by saying Karen was at a disadvantage because ballroom dancers have difficulty performing solos. That may be true, but in so many words, Nigel was really saying, “We disregarded her solo in our decision to keep her.”

Okay… so why the yellow pad and the faux deliberation, then? If your decision was based on everything they’ve done up to that point (minus the solo), you can make that decision before the episode…….. unless you DID make that decision before the episode. How long before the episode is the real question.

I was really upset at their decision to send Channing home rather than Karen and I can’t believe that was unanimous. Karen’s solo was downright lame and borderline offensive due to it’s lack of effort. Considering how Channing has performed these first few weeks, that was just unfair. The only people that think Karen is a star of this season are the judges and that doesn’t exactly make it a fact. That was the first time in SYTYCD history that I threw a baby tantrum and swore I wasn’t gonna watch it anymore. That has since passed, but still… I was floored.

I know had no idea who to pick for the girl, as you can tell. I knew Karen and Kevin would be in the bottom 3, but the judges seem to like Karen a lot so I figured she would be safe this week. I had a passing thought of putting Channing as my choice, but truth be told I really like her and think she is a great dancer so I thought (and didn’t want) she would do a great solo and stay… so I just picked Noelle. I had no idea the third couple who would be in the bottom 3.

I’m on to her though. She acts all coy, like she has no idea who to pick, etc. Now look at her!!

I’m bummed about Channing. I have no eye for dance but I liked her. I wanted her to make it much further.

Pervy’s kind of a thing when it comes to this show (and posts about it), eh?
