Week 2’s Larkian Standings
Well well well… lookie what we have here. If it isn’t our good friend The Lark.
I think I speak for everyone, when I say, “We are now officially… in it to win it.”
Now, what would a Lark be without ferocious front runners. And we’ve got several, there’s no doubt about that. I mean, right out of the gate Amrie and Kathryn are almost neck and neck for the lead. Kathryn is edging her out by a single extra point received for her Phillip pick during the Week 1 bonus… but after this week it could be an entirely different story. I can’t stress it enough, bonus points are your deadliest weapon here.
You may have noticed, actually, that many of you have 5 points rather than the standard 4. As I promised in the *sparkling new rules*, extra booster points (not quite bonus points) were awarded for posting either Bianca or Phillip in the comments of that Week 1 Bonus Post.
Unfortunately, since they’re just little boosters, they won’t add to your overall bonus count. The only players who received an official bonus were the ones who went with Brandon and/or Ariana for Week 1.
Jules, Jennifer F, PlaidGirl, even you Andrew… don’t give up. You are NOT out of this, do you hear me? Andrew, you can not let your wife’s more than double lead on you effect your performance! This is still anyone’s game.
And when we get down to the final 10, this sucker is gonna see a few Jeff Probst style twists and turns. Some unexpected game play that’s sure to shake things up a bit.
It’s gearing up to be one of the most thrilling Larks to date.
Anyway, take a look at the scoreboard. Let me know if you think I got anything wrong. I’ve listed your names the way you wrote them in the name line of your “Picks” email. In some cases I abbreviated last names to fit them. If you want it changed let me know.
This puppy is getting ridiculously long, though, I have to admit. So I’m considering an entirely new design that incorporates a pull down menu instead of the long list. The pro is that you’ll be able to see everyone’s card without having to scroll up and down. The con is that you won’t be able to see everyone’s score at the same time. I also still need to put everyone’s social media links in here. I just wanted this board up quickly, because I know you’re all eager to see the standings. Next week I should have a more complete design… perhaps even a completely new one.
And what else?…… Oh yeah, So You Think You Can Dance is on tomorrow!

Oh, please, darling! Call me Kate! I am acting really snotty around the house due to my HUGE LEAD. Must enjoy it while I can…the next two weeks have me a little worried.

Cool! And also – wow, what a long list compared to last season
I’m glad so many new players found their way to this lark – and I’m sure they won’t regret it. It’s just so much fun playing!
Could players see the score of every “competitor” last time, too? Don’t remember. But – I really like it!

With the awarding of points you have awoken my competitive drive. I need points and I will crush these little dancers dreams to do so.
Though looking at everybodies picks I am kicking myself for not putting Nathan at the top, and I can’t believe so many people think Jakob is going to take the whole thing. Its about to get intresting.

Kaitlin, I’m one of those who picked Jakob. If you can do that perpetual spin, a la Travis, then you deserve to win, (Travis was robbed and I will never get past it)!
Andrew, I’m really sorry to hear that your performance has been effected
that is very unfortunate…
I’m impressed with the leader-board John, top effort and I am ready for some Probsting – bring on the next round!

Woo hoo! I have 27 points and still don’t understand how this number sorcery gets done (I hate math!) but I’m happy. Also I’ll have to re-read the rules, cause I still don’t know what’s the process of getting bonus points in the coming weeks ¿? I read it only works when there are elimination shows, but I’ve never seen one, I think. Cause normally there are two shows per week, riiiight?
Oh well, excited for tomorrow then! Come on Noelle and Legacy, just give up! haha.

whoa. hahaha, it’s a darn good thing I lack that competitive streak. I’m the only one still in single digits? ouch. :/ oh well!
well done, guys! xoxoxo

Wow, it’s going to be interesting to see how it all plays out… So many players and different picks! Can’t wait to really get it started tomorrow night!
