The Lark Flew South
Hey guys. How’s everyone faring?
So several of you have been asking about The Lark, and I know I probably should have brought it up sooner… but with Lost and my musical project monopolizing most of my time last month, I just sort of dropped the ball, I won’t lie.
So here’s the thing (and I’m sure this doesn’t come as much of a surprise to everyone), unfortunately, we’re gonna have to skip this Lark. It’s kind of a bummer, since I absolutely love the Lark and the prospect of darting a few of you between the eyes. But fact is, I just can’t juggle it with everything I’m going to be doing over the next two months work wise.
So the Lark will be back next season. It will be bigger and badder than ever. In addition to the “Darts” and “Cages”, there will be “Time Warps” (a game device I’ve been tinkering with in my workshop since last season), “Wings of Desire” (these are very touching), and a gaming device that, while still in the early stages of development, goes by the code name: Chupacabra.
And of course, I’ll be watching as much of this season as I can, so I’ll probably toss up my thoughts from time to time.
Thanks for understanding!

Completely understandable! Hope everything works out wonderfully for you! And, I hope to be there when it’s back again! My brother loves the show and is recording it too… so, maybe next time you do this he’ll join in!

So, um, no Alcove sandwich and wine? Fine, that’s it. I’m moving to San Francisco!

Lark! Whatever it is you have planned with that Chupacabra, I’m excited about it. I’m hoping it is something to goat-suck the life out of scores getting way too high by inferior dancing hobbits.
…Next time!

I figured that would be the situation and it is entirely understandable.
It’s going to be a short season anyway. I don’t know if you’ve heard yet, but they are only taking 10 finalists from Vegas this year.
Also, this was Teddy’s audition from last night, that totally blew me away. His piece starts at around 1:00.

Awww…this was supposed to be the time the 2-time silver medalist finally took gold (or failed miserably at trying).
Actually, as much as I love participating in The Lark, I have to admit that I’m a little relieved because I have a lot of things I need to do this summer too, and it will be nice to just watch SYTYCD without analyzing it, especially with all the new format changes. Still looking forward to your occasional commentary though!
I’m also looking forward to the next update on your musical project, so excited about that!

yeah, I kind of guessed that was the case! I’m sorry we’ll miss out on the weekly discussions, but I’m super excited about your project, and definitely a fan of people getting sleep, so I totally support this decision.
can’t wait to hear how things are going with the project!

Bummer. But I totally understand. I’m busy this summer too, so it works out well. Next season I am going to bring it!
