Scoreboard 2.0
In leading up to the Finale Results Show, I’ve done a small redesign of the Scoreboard. I’ve added some of the features I’ve been wanting to for weeks: Links to everyone’s twitter streams, pictures, easy view of points and bonuses. I’m sorry I couldn’t get this up sooner… I really wanted to show off this League of Awesomes. If I’d had more time I would have written a script that orders all of the players from highest scores to lowest. But I think the way it is, encourages you to browse through everyone evenly. We are, after all, a unified FDL, are we not? I realize so much of this game was a silly crap shoot. But it’s been a blast none the less.
Something interesting to note… @eirinn22 hasn’t participated in a single bonus. I don’t fault her. She’s in Australia and they’re getting the show a few weeks later than we are. But take a look at her score clean. Impressive.
If I can pull away from my script rewrites, I’m going to try to squeeze in another commentary post before the east coast results. It was a very strange finale though, don’t you think?

I’m practically in the same boat as @eirinn22 – though I generally catch up the next day if not by the weekend.
And everyone in the #fdl has been wonderful in still tweeting about the show but not being full on spoilery. So thankyou!
(But I wouldn’t be a complete grouchypants if it was anyway)
Its been so wonderful to chat with other dance fans – although its reasonably popular in Australia, because the network doesn’t show it here til MUCH later, the fanbase isn’t high enough I guess to watch it fast enough to participate..
So thankyou John for organising it. Can’t wait to see the finale!!

Scoreboard looks great! I’m a little confused about bonus elimination picks for the finale. Are there bonus points to be gained tonight? …I need about 42 for the win. ha.
thanks for the fun, I never would have watched SYTYCD if it hadn’t been for the FDL. I didn’t know FOX was capable of making a show that celebrated talent and culture. I’m hooked. I’m setting my alarm clock to Mary Murphy ‘hot tamale train’ to get me through to September.

I’m loving the new scoreboard! thanks for your hard work on this, JP (and Sean Gunn, too!)… and for getting me hooked on SYTYCD! I’ve never watched before, and I can’t tell you what a fun distraction it’s been to get into this show… probably kept me from losing my mind even more during this intense home-stretch of my degree program. PLUS you have yet again introduced me to some fantastic tweeters/tumblr-ers who I am so happy to know!

This was so much fun, thanks for putting it together. I’m looking forward to the fall season and I can’t believe I placed so low in this FDL! I gotta remember it’s a contest for ‘America’s favorite dancer’, not Best dancer… same thing happened to me last year, when I was SURE that Will would win in a landslide and he went home just before the finale.
It’s weird trying to put a list together based on how America will vote, not who I think is best. I tried to do that, but still got the order a bit off.
I think I’ll do much better next time. The ‘Sanjaya/Evan Effect’ holds much more power than I thought it would!!!

YAY! FDL! Thanks John (and Sean) for putting this together. I’ve been watching since season 1, but the FDL definitely added a new twist to watching the show, and tweeting with/reading tweets by the other FDL-ers has been a lot of fun.
Love the additions to the scoreboard. It’s cool to see how the bonuses have played out. Truly impressed by @eirinn22′s score, considering she has played without the help of bonuses. Well-played!
By the way, have the extra points for however many of the Final 4 dancers correctly identified in the original picks (I think you said 3 points for each?) been added into the scores yet, or will those points be factored into the score after the finale tonight?
