The Bevolicher

How many of you have heard the legend of the mighty and fearful Bevolicher (pronounced: be-VAWL-iker)? If you haven’t, you better watch this video created by my buddy Jay’s comedy troupe “TROOP!”. It could seriously save you a lot of emotional pain.

A Blog That’s Fair and Bright

If y’all have a chance, check out a really fun pop culture blog called Pop-Rock Candy Mountain. I love the site for a lot of reasons. The design is clean and sharp, with a touch of kitsch, and what I consider a killer logo. They seem to have a particular interest in SUB-pop-culture, and a keen eye for picking out the smaller details in the things they love… you won’t find any Paris Hilton there. And they’ve got an entire section of the site dedicated to food! I love that they give FOOD it’s pop culture props.

And of course one of my favorite things about this blog is that they’ve featured lil’ole me in this week’s line up of goodies. Hehe. Peep this.

And just to confirm the author’s hunch… yeah, my robot’s not too shabby. I doubt it could get me a “ticket to vegas”, but it can definitely clean your house.

Maybe it’s Affair Game

I’m right now in the process of upgrading my project site unboiled.com. I hope to have a completely new design of the site by the end of the month. Well, I guess NEW design is kind overstating it, since there really isn’t much design there right now… just an embedded video player.

Anyway, part of my process includes encoding new high resolution versions of a bunch of my films and video projects. I’m using Vimeo, which as I mentioned before is my favorite web-video service these days. It’s gonna be a slow process, though. They only give me 500mb of upload bandwidth per week. But each project I do upload I’ll be posting here first for all who’d like to watch. Some of the films went through another round of touch ups and all of them are sharper and richer in color.

Here’s ‘Affair Game’ which I directed back in 2004. Stars Hamish Linklater, Liza Weil, and Irina Björklund. Written by Jessica Goldberg. Director of Photography, Kenneth Seng.

And this is ‘Maybe it’s Albuquerque’, which a few of us threw together in 2005. Shot by Christal Weatherly on a trip back from Minneapolis. Written by Lee Kirk. On vocals and guitar – Eddie Ebell.
